As a part of the integration of ING Bank and Postbank, nSEC/Resilience has made a key contribution in the design, structuring, planning and execution of the required large-scale performance tests. The activities were performed as part of a data migration to a complex new target application landscape, with a combination of heavy batch loads combined with relentless online traffic.

The contribution of nSEC/Resilience was both in providing deep performance testing expertise as in providing project management / test management consulting. nSEC/Resilience has created and executed the test strategy that has enabled ING to simulate and measure the highly complex batch traffic (running in cycles with technical and functional dependencies) in the new core systems, while also measuring performance of the online traffic that travels the entire application landscape end-to-end.

In addition to setting up the test strategy and approach, nSEC/Resilience has guided the involved teams in test execution and processing of test results. The test strategy has contributed to the decision making process that was required to prove the validity of the new application landscape by delivering the required evidence.
